Archive Classes – Location is a multi-select drop-down list
User can now select multiple locations while archiving classes:
Staff “Add Time Entry” permission added (time clock related)
This new permission allows the org to lockdown a User ID from being able to enter time directly from within Jackrabbit. This permission has been defaulted as checked for all User ID’s.
Example: Org doesn’t want a User who can log into Jackrabbit to be able to enter a time entry while inside the application. The org wants their staff to only be able to enter time through the Time Clock. The User ID’s for this org would have both the “Add Time Entry” and “Launch Clock” permissions un-checked.
Staff Hours Report “Report Formats”
Several report formats have been added to The Staff Hours Report:
- Department Detail (old Staff Hour Detail)
- Department Summary (no change)
- Staff Hours by Location (groups by staff person the total hours worked per location)
- Staff Hours by Department (groups by staff person the total hours worked per department)
- Staff Total Hours (list of total hours per staff person)
- Location Detail (groups by location the following information: staff first & last name, hour type and total hours)
Note: Only the Department Detail and the Department Summary formats have the “Display Estimated Gross Wages” option. Also, the search results page has the report format in the title, eg “Staff Hours Report – Department Detail”.
Approve Time edit “Actual Hours”
A User can edit staff “Actual Hours” while in “Approve Time”.
This provides the user with the efficiency to make changes to the actual hours worked without have to:
1. Edit the original in and out times
2. Go into individual staff person’s time card.
There is a new User ID permission in the Clock section labeled “Edit Actual Hours in Approve Time”. Whenever the actual hours is edited, this will display in red font. The changed Actual Hours will appear in red in the following places: Approve Time, Staff Time Card and My Time Card (inside time clock).
Example: Org wants to keep accurate records of the In & Out times stamped on time entries for staff. However, they do not compensate staff for time before or after class if the staff person is not performing any work at these times. This way, the user can quickly edit the actual hours calculated from the in & out times, to remove any excess time.

Class Start Date added to “Add Class”
When users “Add Class” there is a new field for Class Start Date:
Also, when classes are imported into Jackrabbit, if a class doesn’t have a start date, it will default to today’s date.
Secondary Departments for Staff
The Default Department has been moved down into the Time Clock Settings portion of the Staff Summary tab. Also, Secondary Departments has been added as a new field. It is multi-select.
This was enhanced so that Staff who work in more than 1 Department can view all of their Department’s News in the Time Clock. The Default Department is still the department which pre-fills when Staff are entering time.
